Arrive at Noi Bai International Airport where our guide will meet you at the airport and escort you to a hotel in the center of Hanoi. The day is at leisure to relax or explore the city on your own. The capital of Vietnam, Hanoi is an amalgamation of the traditional and modern. Feel the pulse of the Old Quarter, bursting with activity, soak in the vibrant atmosphere in the local markets, watch residents practice Tai Chi at parks, dine at world-class restaurants and shop at designer boutiques, you can do all this and more in Hanoi.
The tour starts at 08:30 with a visit to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (Mondays & Fridays closed), His House on Stilt, One Pillar Pagoda, Tran Quoc pagoda, and Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature). In the afternoon, visit the Museum of Vietnam Ethnology and then take a walk through the busy old streets to discover the daily life of the locals. Stop at Thang Long theatre for a water puppets show.
Leave Hanoi at 08:00 for Halong bay, "Dragon Descending to the Sea". Upon arrival, embark upon a junk boat for a cruise around Ha Long Bay. While the junk cruises across caves, grottoes, floating villages and beaches on the bay, enjoy a fresh seafood lunch on boat. Stop for an excursing to explore one of the most beautiful grottos here and go swimming, if the weather permits. Have dinner on board. In the evening, enjoy night fishing (service available free of charge upon request and in good weather only). Overnight on board.
In the morning, continue cruising through the Bay, passing by many rocks, Islets as well as fishing villages. Brunch will be served on board before disembarkation. Return to Hanoi by a private car, on the way you may like to take a short visit to Dong Trieu Pottery Villages. Arrive at your hotel in Hanoi late in the afternoon.
Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
