On arrival at Delhi, board your connecting flight to Srinagar. On reaching, you'll be transferred to the hotel. Rest for a while and in the evening, you'll go on a two hour Shikara ride in the backwaters of the lake - glide past the floating gardens, see people paddling to their homes in small boats, and see the kites zooming overhead. Return back to the houseboat for dinner.
Visit the ancient Lord Shiva’s Shankaracharya Temple and the sacred sanctum sanctorum of the temple. From here you can get good views of the old city and the castle on the top of the Hari Parbat hill. Then, visit the Nishat Gardens a living example of the Mughal and Mongol architecture and return to the houseboat for dinner.
After breakfast, go on a day trip to Gulmarg. En-route, stop at a small picturesque market town of Tangmarg. On reaching Gulmarg, go on a short tour around the meadow before boarding the Gondola cable car. It will take you past colorful shepherd hutments to the lower ridge of the Afarwatt peak and later you may go horse-riding to the strawberry valley before returning back to the houseboat for dinner.
Post breakfast, you will drive through beautiful hamlets and small houses towards Sonamarg – The Golden Meadow. Later, you'll go on a two hour hike to the Thajwass glacier. Admire at the amazing views of the Thajwass glacier in the foreground as well as the magnificent mountains. Drive back to the hotel for dinner.
After breakfast, drive on the Zojila pass and crossover into the Ladakh region. From the first pass you'll drive on a small and scanty village of Drass and onwards to Kargil. Stop for some refreshments and head towards the resort. Dinner and overnight at the resort.
Post breakfast, you'll visit Alchi Monastery. Later, drive towards Leh amidst magnificent views of the barren mountains. Ladakh, an exotic region is famed for its age-old monasteries, quaint lanes, colorful markets and stunning views of the Himalayas. En-route visit Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, and Magnetic hill. Upon arrival in Ladakh, you'll be transferred to the hotel. Check in and spend the evening at leisure. Enjoy dinner and rest for the night.
After early breakfast, you'll leave for a day trip to the Pangong Lake via Chang La pass. The drive amidst spectacular and amazing scenery offers breathtaking views of the snow covered Himalayas. The Lake is the highest (4267M) salt-water lake in the world, situated along the India / China border. Later drive back to Leh for dinner and overnight.
Leave early in the morning for a jeep ride to the Khardungla pass strategically located at a height of 18000 ft above sea level. Later, move towards the Hunder region located in the Nubra Valley. The region is famous for its sand dunes and Bactrian camels On arrival, check into the resort. Then visit the village and the Diskit Monastery.
After breakfast, you'll set off for a long drive towards Leh, stopping in between for some refreshments and packed lunch. Upon arrival in Leh, visit the famous Japanese Pagoda known as Shanti Stupa. You'll be then transferred to the hotel for dinner.
Post breakfast, you'll be transferred to the airport as your journey ends today.
