    Your trip to Australia begins in Cairns. On this 19 day journey through Australia you will visit some amazing cities, breathtaking sceneries and awe-inspiring natural wonders. Cairns is popular as the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, also known to be visible from outer space!     Today is the day when you set sight on the world’s largest structure made by living organisms, the Great Barrier Reef. The reef’s colorful coral structures populated by a variety of fish and other sea creatures are a wonder to behold. You will board a fast catamaran to cruise to the Green Island one of the many islands on the reef. There are several ways to admire the beauty of the reef, you can opt to snorkel, dive or simply view it from the comfort of a glass-bottom boat. In case you yearn for more than sea you can opt to walk through the islands cool rainforest. You can have the rest of the day at your leisure or you could opt to go in for a full day excursion to the Outer Barrier Reef. Later in the evening decide to enjoy a unique experience of dining in a rainforest! Dine at the Flames of the Forest where you can enjoy great food and authentic Aboriginal culture through storytelling and music. If forests are not your thing opt for a sunset cruise followed by a delicious dinner at a waterfront restaurant.

    Cairns to Darwin

    Today you will explore more of the wild side of Cairns, you will visit the Cairns Tropical Zoo where you can meet Australia’s native animals. You can have breakfast at the park, meet koalas and know more about them from the park’s wildlife keeper. Later you can choose to go on a trip to Kuranda via an old scenic rail route. Rail travel is the best way to sit back and enjoy the scenery go past, and this case through lush rainforests and twisting rainfalls. For the return journey you can opt for a change of scenery and return by the Skyrail Rainforest cableway. Instead of the rail you can choose to take a tour of the Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural park. Here you enjoy the portrayal of Aboriginal culture, dance and folklore. End the day in Cairns and fly to Darwin, famous for its strategic importance during WWII.

    Darwin to Kakadu National Park

    On the agenda today is a visit to the Kakadu National park. This pristine habitat of almost 7,300 sq miles of unspoiled waterways with a rich heritage of aboriginal culture is a popular destination. You can visit the Bowali visitor centre to learn about Kakadu’s habitats. One of the best ways to explore this park is by cruising through its waterways which are the home of crocodiles. You could also walk on ancient trails used by Aboriginals and also pay a visit to the rock petroglyphs. An optional flight in a light-aircraft over the park Is highly recommended. You will end the day with a sumptuous dinner at the hotel.

    Note: During the wet seasons (December through April) it can be difficult to see crocodiles in the wild.

    Kakadu National Park to Darwin

    Today you will explore more of Darwin and first thing on the schedule is a stop at Windows on the Wetlands Visitor Centre where you can see much of Kakadu’s fauna. After a well spent morning you will return to Darwin to see the elegant colonial architecture of the city’s historic buildings that survived Cyclone Tracy in 1974. You can also visit the splendid Botanic Gardens and beautiful East Point, an area rich in WWII memorabilia. Also visit the Art gallery to view fine collections of Aboriginal art.

    Darwin - Alice Springs - Ayers Rock

    Today you will embark on a journey to the famous Ayers Rock with a stop in Alice Springs. Here you will visit the School of the Air an interesting peek into the life of children who study in the vast Outback. Later you will visit the Old Telegraph Station only to be amazed at the few resources the locals live in this remote area on and to learn the history of how early settlers developed communication. You may pay your respects to the war heroes of Australia and New Zealand on Antzac Hill. After this brief yet interesting stopover you will resume your journey to Ayers Rock by flight. Here natural formations will stun you! You will travel to a lookout to enjoy views of the magnificent Kata Tjuta (the Olgas), as geological splendor of some 30 brilliant monoliths. You can indulge in photography there before going on a tour around the base of the Uluru (Ayers Rock) and to Sunset Strip for a drink, canapés and to witness the changing colors of the rock.

You have the afternoon at your leisure and you may want to visit the Desert Park to learn more about the Australian Desert's flora and fauna. Later at night enjoy a typical Aussie experience, an Outback Barbeque and lots of fascinating tales of the outback and the aboriginal folk.

    Today’s tour of the scenic Tasman Peninsula features the blowhole, the Devil’s Kitchen, and the Tasman Arch coastal formations. Visit Port Arthur, where the first convicts arrived in the 1830s. A guided tour of the Penal Settlement shows you the ruins of the 4-story penitentiary and the model prison—grim reminders of Australia’s days as a penal colony. Also included is a short stop at a nearby wildlife sanctuary to see the famous Tasmanian Devil, the world’s largest carnivorous marsupial.

Travel to Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair in the city’s Botanical Gardens for a great photo opportunity of the harbor, Opera House, and Harbour Bridge. Then, take a guided tour of the Sydney Opera House, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, followed by a visit to one of the country’s leading Opal companies to discover how the beautiful gems are mined. You will also take a cruise on Sydney Harbour that highlights this bustling waterway and will tour the world-famous Bondi Surf Bathers’ Life Saving Club and witness a lifesaving demonstration! Along the way you will also see some of the city’s original suburbs and the historic Rocks area, home to Sydney’s original convicts. The rest of the day is at your leisure.
